Background and Aims: Addiction is a chronic disease that affects various biological, psychological and social factors. Daily increases in the number of people affected by this dilemma, leading to the disappearance of the cultural boundaries of the community and endangering the mental and economic health of humankind. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy on paranoia personality and schizotypal personality disorders in drug addicts.
 Materials and Methods: The present study is a quasi-experimental study with pretest-posttest control group design. The study population was consisted of men with drug addiction in Andimeshk County who were admitted to drug rehabilitation camp, hospitalized or outpatient. Using the Available Sampling method, among those who attended, 20 patients were selected after complying with the entry and exit criteria. The attendees were randomly divided into two groups: mindfulness intervention group (n=10) and control group (n=10). The study started in 3 June 2019 and lasted for 8 weeks.
 Results: There was a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group regarding the paranoid and schizotypal personality disorders (p<0/0001 and F=79/90).
Conclusion: The results of this study showed that mindfulness-based cognitive therapy can have a positive effect on reducing the personality disorders of cluster A in drug addicts.
