The aim of this research was to examine the prediction of hardiness among elite epic athletes according to Perception of success and emotion regulation. Material and Method: The research methodology was descriptive and correlation study type. The statistical population consisted of 480 athletes who had participated in 2015 learns nominee's competition and based on random sampling 200 athletes were selected. For collecting data in this study sport perception of success, kubasa hardiness and emotional regulation questionnaires were used. To analyze the data, the descriptive statistics and to test the hypothesis Pierson correlation coefficient and multiple regression were used by SPSSV21. Results: The result indicated that there are significant correlation between hardiness with perception of success (r= 0/22), Reappraisal (r= -0/44) and suppression. Results of regression analysis showed that perception of success and emotion regulation predicted 29% of variance under variable athlete’s hardiness. Athlete’s hardiness increased with increasing on perception of success but increasing on subscales of emotion regulation (Reappraisal and suppression) lead to decreasing on athlete’s hardiness. Conclusion: Finally it can be hypothesized that increasing on perception of success reinforces athlete’s efforts, goal achieving and their hardiness during the competition but because of tension and unsuitable emotion perception lead to unsuitable interpretation among athletes.
