Background and Aim: Effective education leading to superior organizational performance. Educational Evaluation disciplined approach to gathering data that is useful to managers to reach decisions helps in training programs. The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Scientometrics workshop for the faculty members and staff in Qom University of Medical Sciences  based on Kirkpatrick's model.

Materials and Methods: In this enterventional study, the effectiveness of the workshop for 46 of the faculty members and staff in Qom University of Medical Sciences was evaluated based on Kirkpatrick's model. Data from the Self-made questionnaire included two parts to assess the level of response (workshop content, teacher and workshop) and level of learning (before and after the workshop) were collected and  were analyzed by using Pearson correlation and paired t-test in SPSS-20 software. The level of significance was considered p<0.05.

Results: Satisfaction scores of the participants of the workshop content (30/86 ± 5/29), teacher (41/92 ± 5/43) and about the workshop was (43/87 ± 7/45). Overall satisfaction scores of workshop (38/18 ± 6/06). This study showed that positive and significant correlation between overall satisfaction with the content of the workshop  the participants of the workshop (r=0/43, p=0/02), teacher (r=0/79, p<0/001) and workshop (r=0/65, p<0/001). The results also were a statistically significant difference was observed between the means level of learning before and after than workshop (p<0/001).

Conclusion: Scientometrics training workshop according to the Kirkpatrick's model on the level of learning faculty and staff of University of Medical Sciences was effective. In this regard, it is better managers of organizations take steps with effective planning and organizing workshops with experienced faculty members and create favorable conditions and atmosphere for the workshops by using the Kirkpatrick's model to increase the knowledge and research skills among faculty members and staff.
