Abstract:
Background and Aim: Kindergartens are one of the public places that supervised by environmental health unit. Since infectious and parasitic diseases are abundant in kindergartens, the main members of which are children, observing hygienic points in them is of great importance. The present study investigates the safety condition and environmental health status of kindergartens Ilam city in 1400.
Materials and Methods: In this cross-sectional study, all of kindergartens in Ilam city were evaluated by census method. Then, using a health inspection checklist from urban kindergartens, the necessary information was collected and data using Excel software were analyzed.
Results: Kindergartens Ilam city in terms of personal hygiene, food hygiene, tool and equipment hygiene, health and safety building were 83.53%, 72.98%, 81.91% and 71.42% respectively and the average of observing health and safety indicators in these places 77.47% was  reported.
Discussion and Conclusion: According to the results of this study, more supervision by health inspectors, paying special attention to safety issues in the field of safe construction and attention to observing the technical principles mentioned in the health regulations of kindergartens can promotion the status of these places and adaptation them to the relevant standards.
