Background and Aim: ADHD is one of the most common neurological disorders in childhood, characterized by three attributes of attention deficit, hyperactivity disorder, and impulsivity. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of computerized cognitive rehabilitation on improving the inhibition of response and planning in children with ADHD symptoms.
Material and Method: The statistical population of this study included all students with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in elementary schools of Shahreza city in the academic during 2015-2016. 30 children out of the population were randomly selected as sample groups and divided into two groups (n=15), including the Experimental group and the Control group. The diagnosis of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in the children was confirmed by SNAP-IV scale. Also, to examine the effectiveness of cognitive rehabilitation on the executive functions of Experimental group, Continuous Performance Testing Software and London Towers Test were used. The intervention procedure was performed within 10 sessions (the duration of each session was 10 hour).
Results: This study showed that students with ADHD disorder have low executive lack of response, planning, and cognitive rehabilitation training with increasing the level inhibition of response, planning) of ADHD students can be Improve the attention deficit / hyperactivity of students.
