COVID-19, a newfound disease, began in China in December 2019 and spread rapidly around the world. Rumors and fake news about this virus have caused anxiety and fear among the people. In addition to its effect on physical health, it also has psychological effects on general population. One of the most vulnerable groups to the news about COVID-19 is pregnant women who need hospitalization for delivery. On the other hand hospitals are the forefront of the fight against the virus. Anxiety and fear of the disease may cause delay in hospitalization of pregnant women and it may cause irreparable damage to them and their newborn including uterine rupture. Here, we report a case of 25 years old pregnant woman with a history of G₃L₂ with ruptured uterus due to anxiety and fear of COVID-19. It is recommended to prevent anxiety and fear of COVIID-19 in pregnant women by providing proper care and social support and also considering separate hospitals for hospitalization and delivery.
